LIFE IN YEAR 1!

We have been super busy in Year One. Nativity practise has begun and we are starting to learn all the songs to sing on 2nd and 3rd December!

Snowdon have had their Outdoor Learning and they had so much fun, playing in the mud garden and hunting for bugs with Mrs Griffin! Everest have been learning about Remembrance and the importance of the poppy. They even made a poppy wreath by working together!  Have a look at some photos in the garden HERE.

In maths, Year One are consolidating our understanding of place value and in English we are starting to create our own portal story based upon Billy’s Bucket, which is very exciting!

In science, we have been learning what carnivore, herbivores and omnivores are understanding what classification animals are, for example are they birds, mammals or reptiles.

In art, we used plastic bottles to make cherry blossom prints.
