FOXS AND HEDGEHOGS

Last week we learnt all about foxes and were introduced to new vocabulary such as ‘vixen’ and ‘den’.

We wrote a fox fact and enjoyed sharing them with the class. We drew a picture of a fox face. After, we watched a tutorial that showed us different sketching techniques. We then applied what we have learnt and drew the fox face again. We were proud of the improvements that we had made in comparison to our first drawing.

This week, we have been learning about the differences between a fiction book and a non fiction book. We enjoyed reading a non fiction book about hedgehogs. We were amazed to learn that hedgehogs can swim! In art, we used clay to create a hedgehog. We used a variety of tools to create the spines including pencils, scissors and forks. Once it had dried, we painted it.

In music, we learnt a song all about a hedgehog. We added our own actions and even enjoyed beating in time to the music.
