Week commencing Monday 11th July 2016
Hello and welcome to our Reception blog!
We have had a fabulous week in Bromham and even the weather was good to us! We have had songs around the campfire, enjoyed a fish and chip lunch on Friday and we even found a dinosaur in the woods! Your children were, as ever, an absolute credit to our school and behaved brilliantly throughout the week!
We are now looking forward to our final trip together to Dinoland on Monday. Just to confirm that the children will need sensible outdoor clothing together with a lightweight, waterproof coat and a sunhat (ever hopeful!) Also, if you are providing your child with a packed lunch from home, could you please ensure that all items are disposable and that it is sent in a carrier bag as we are unable to carry lunch boxes around the site. Thank-you.
Next week, we will be sending home book packs for the children. Your envelope will contain six reading books (one for each week of the holiday) and when the children start in year one, they will choose one of these familiar stories to start their reading with their new teacher.
Also next week, we hope that many of you will be able to come along to our Celebration Evening on Monday night (7.00 - 8.00 p.m.) and enjoy viewing your children's Learning Journals as well as other examples of their work. Tea and biscuits will be available!
We are all looking forward to our final week together! Have a lovely weekend and, if you are going to the River Festival, have fun!
