We have had an amazing first few weeks at school. Our topic is Marvellous Me. We have been spending time getting to know each other by sharing our All about Me bags and playing and making new friends!

This term our topic is ‘The wonderful World of Books!’ Our favourite book so far has been ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra.

We have been learning about the Lunar Celebration – Chinese New Year.

The Reception children have been working very hard over the last half term to learn all the songs, dances and words for their Nativity performance.

As part of our Marvellous Me topic we have been learning about different ways we can stay healthy.

Early Years were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience playing the steel pan drums! We learned that this music originated from the Caribbean

Last week both reception classes enjoyed three mornings of outdoor learning at school.  Lots of activities were planned and the sun even came out for us!

This half-term, we will be continuing with our topic ‘Into the Woods’. We have learnt so many facts about animals.

  This week the early years children performed their first Christmas production called Higgeldy Piggeldy Nativity to the school and their families

  To carry on our topic of Marvellous Me, Reception have been learning about different houses and homes around the world.
