To continue our topic of Marvellous Me, Reception have been learning about toys from the past and toys the children have at home.

The children have all settled well during their first week in Reception.

In Reception, we have been enjoying our topic, ‘The Wonderful World of Books.’ Over these last few weeks, we have been reading lots of stories about dinosaurs....a topic which so many of the children love!

This term in Reception, our new topic is 'The wonderful world of Books! We will be having a new key text each week to base our learning around. Our first book was the popular children's story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. 

This half term we have been reading non-fiction texts about animals that live in the woods. So far, we have learned about owls, foxes and bats. Last week we learned all about hedgehogs! We found out so many interesting facts about these cute little creatures. We even found out that they can swim!

We have had a fun filled snowman themed week this week!

We have been learning all about how to keep our bodies healthy. Last week, we focused on learning about the importance of cleaning our teeth.

In Reception this term, our topic has been 'The Wonderful world of Books!'

This term in Reception, our topic is 'The Wonderful World of Books!' We will be using a key text each week during the summer term from a variety of different authors to base our learning around.
