We watched a video on the signs of spring and went on a spring walk outside in the nursery garden and around school and then discussed the different things we saw.

The children talked about seeing bright yellow daffodils and some insects and bugs coming out of hibernation.  We discussed the ladybirds and spiders and butterflies that we saw around the school grounds! We also talked about bright flowers and how the sun is up for longer in the day.

The children then came back inside and painted a spring painting of bright coloured flowers they saw on their spring walk.
