October in nursery!
Hello, young space explorers and their families!
This month we embarked on a magical journey through the stars with our very own Space Week at school! We got ready to zoom through the galaxy, discover twinkling stars, and learn all about the wonders of outer space.
We had fun with our space small world, Mrs Parker filled our tough spot with actual moon dust! We practiced our cutting skills creating a Space scene and dressed up as Astronauts. We learned that we live on Planet Earth, sang Space songs and read a story as a class about some mischievous aliens!
We experimented with colour mixing and created a handprint that will form part of our class rainbow display! In small groups we looked at the book ‘Spot Loves Nursery’ and had a go at finding the front and back covers. We enjoyed reading ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy to round off World Space Week.
