This week we went on our first school trip around the local area to observe different styles of houses and we discussed what type of house we live in. We talked about 2D shapes we could see on the houses. Some children were inspired to make pictures of houses using 2D shapes during their choosing time. 

We then planned and made our own house out of a cereal box. We painted them in a variety of colours and practised our cutting skills to make doors and windows. We then decided on the shape of our roof and decided whether they were made of tiles or straw.
